One of the first things we do when someone is having thyroid issues is stabilize their diet. We recommend removing all foods that commonly cause food allergies. These include wheat, eggs, dairy, soy, rice and corn. We also recommend not eating foods high on the glycemic index that will spike your blood sugar levels.
In addition, we suggest eating every two hours instead of simply three times a day. Once we have removed these foods and allowed the gastro-intestinal system to heal, we can then proceed with reintroducing those foods back into the diet.
